Lead seal of Konstantinos imperial spatharios (11th cent.)

Condition: About Fine, as in pictures, with dark patina. Slightly off-center sealing.

Obverse: The bust of saint Nicholaos in prelate's garments, facial, nimbate, blessing by his right, holding the book of Gospels by his left, columnar inscription Ο Α(ΓΙΟC)/ ΝΙΚ-ΟΛΑ[ΟC]= Ὁ ἅγιος Νικόλαος (Saint Nicholaos).

Reverse: Inscription in 3 lines, following a decorative pattern: ΚΩΝCΤΑ/[Ν]Τ(Ι)ΝΟ Β(ΑCΙΛΙΚΩ) CΠΑ/Θ(ΑΡΙΩ) ΠΛ../= Κωνσταντίνῳ, βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ... (Of Konstantinos, imperial spatharios... ).
