Parthian Standing Idol
3rd century BC-2nd century AD. A carved bone figure, standing female in flared dress, with dressed hair and incised facial details, applied bent arms with bronze securing pins; with necklace and earrings of tubular and other glass beads. 120 grams, 18.5cm (7 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; previously acquired on the UK art market in the 1990s.
