Greek Glazed Vessel with Animals
5th-3rd century BC. A ceramic drum-shaped vessel with remains of green-glaze, with basal ring and conical neck; black bi-linear borders framing a frieze of addorsed goats' foreparts. 350 grams, 24.5cm (9 3/4"). From a private collection of seals and amulets, the property of a Canadian gentleman living in London; from his father's collection formed in the late 1960s to 1980s.
