Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III the Great. Silver Tetradrachm (17.19 g), 336-323 BC. Tarsos, under Philip III, 323-317 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, Nike flying right, holding wreath; monogram below throne, Σ in exergue. Cf. Price 3042 (monogram); cf.
