Pontic Kingdom. Mithradates VI Eupator. Gold Stater (8.35 g), 120-63 BC.
Dated month 1, BE 211 (October, 87 BC).
OBV: Diademed head of Mithradates VI right.
REV: BAΣIΛEΩΣ MIΘPAΔATOY EYΠATOPOΣ, stag grazing left; in left field, star and crescent; in right field, date (AIΣ) above monogram; in exergue, A; all within Dionysiac wreath of fruit and ivy.
