TEUTONIC ORDER: Maximilian I, of Austria, 1590-1618, AR double thaler, Hall, 1614, KM-30, Dav-A5854, armored & mantled figure of Maximilian holding sword // mounted knight holding banner, surrounded by circle of fifteen arms, nice strike, with all fine details clear, especially on the gorgeous obverse, NGC graded AU58. An example graded XF45 by NGC, but with much obverse weakness, sold at Heritage Signature Sale 3061, Lot 30660, for $1500 (January 2018).
