AUSTRIA: Charles VI, 1711-1740, AE medal, 1715, Hohenkubin-592, Wohlfarht-55, 44mm, Elizabeth Christina Pregnancy Medal, Chronogrammatic letters and numbers, date of birth and death of a hoped-for heir, AUSTRIA JO PALMAS JAM FERT EST ARA SALVTIS / MOX ET TAM CAROLO GAUDIA CARA FERET either side of central line, A.E.I.O.U. and 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. below // AVSTRIAE EST IMPERARE ORBI VNIVERSO, "All the world is subject to Austria" around, numbers in fields, dates below, EF, RRR. "A.E.I.O.U." was a symbolic device personally used by Habsburg emperor Frederick III (1415-1493), who had a fondness for mythical formulae. He habitually signed buildings such as Burg Wiener Neustadt or Graz-Cathedral as well as his tableware and other objects with the acronym.
