Description

CHINA: Masonic AV medal, 1928, 38mm x 51mm (43.91g including ribbon), 10K gold, PAST WISE MASTER above crowned masonic compass with all-seeing eye atop, eagle below, crosses either side and at center, // FRANKLIN C. FETTÉ 32° / WISE MASTER 1927-28 / TUNG TE CHAPTER / OF ROSE CROIX / PEKING CHINA all hand engraved on reverse, with C.G. BRAXMAR Co. / 242 W 55 ST. NY on reverse of hanger, with red strips on white ribbon, EF, RR. Made by the firm of Charles George Braxmar, jewelers based in New York City. In 1879 he founded a business making badges for fire, police and fraternal organizations. Incorporated in March 1914, the C. G. Braxmar Company became one of the principle supplier of such emblems throughout the northeast and eventually the country.
