GOVERNORS OF SIND: 'Abbas (?), ca. 840s or 850s, AR damma (0.21g), NM, ND, A-Z1493, Fishman-CS20, obverse Allah wali / 'abbas (?) / wa nasiruhu // reverse muhammad / rasul / Allah, VF, RRR. Fishman assigned this type of the much earlier 'Imran b. Musa, but that seems calligraphically impossible. The style and light weight would place this type circa 840s or 850s, very similar to contemporary issues of Hisham, also to a very light standard. This is the 2nd reported specimen.
