TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (65.26g), Robinson-20var (Plate 9.1), 62mm, knotted dragon right with protruding pointed tongue, no symbols in the field // 3-line Burmese legend, very coarsely engraved in the reverse mold, some weakness, as though cast from worn dies, VF, RR. Coins of this type, where the dragon rather resembles a snake, typically weigh in the 55g-75g range, and were found in the Perak hoard, noted by Robinson, pp. 56-58.
