SAFAVID: Tahmasp I, 1524-1576, AV 1/6 mithqal (0.77g), Shiraz, AH930, A-2592A, because it is clearly dated, the existence of the purported 1/6 mithqal of the first gold standard can now be confirmed (also known from a Nimruz piece, undated, 0.76g), VF-EF, RR. Another example, also of Shiraz AH930, was in our Auction 27, Lot 789 (0.79g), but was listed as ¼ mithqal, with the idea of 1/6 mithqal only hypothesized.
