GREAT MONGOLS: Far Eastern series, ca. 1270s, AR dirham (12.17g), Khotan, ND, A-N1979, Tibetan mam in center, surrounded by two undeciphered Arabic marginal legends // al-urdu al-a'zam in center, mint formula around, about 25% flat strike, VF, RR. Possibly related to the arrival of Marco Polo in Khotan in 1274.
