PAMPHYLIA. Aspendos. AR Tetradrachm (16.79 gms), Dated CY 8 (205/4 B.C.). NGC EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5.
Pr-2888. Struck in the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, AΣ above H (date). A pleasing strike on a broad flan, this piece exhibits an enchanting hint of iridescence at the top of Herakles's head.
