Head of bearded Dionysos, right, wreathed with ivy / Α-Ν-Δ-Ρ, tripod.

very fine, with a glossy black patina

BMC Crete etc, p.88, 20-22 var. (AΝΔΡΙ).

The chief divinity of Andros was Dionysos, within whose sanctuary was a fountain, which ran with wine every year during the festival of the god (Paus. vi. 26).
