KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II (359-336 BC). Tetradrachm. Contemporary imitation of Amphipolis.

Obv: Laureate head of Zeus right.
Rev: ΦΙΛΠΠΥ (sic).
Youth, holding palm frond, riding horse right. Controls: Below horse, Λ above torch; dolphin below raised foreleg.

Cf. SNG ANS 807 (for prototype); cf. HGC 3.1, 988 (same; Kassander).

Condition: Very fine.

Weight: 13.28 g.
Diameter: 23 mm.
