KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). GOLD Stater. Uncertain mint, possibly Sestos.

Obv: Helmeted head of Athena right.
Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ.
Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis. Controls: To left, forepart of lion left above monogram; boukranion below left wing.

Price 1217 corr. (monogram); cf. HGC 3.2, 1741a (Lysimachos at Lysimacheia).

Condition: Choice extremely fine.
