★ Extremely Rare Antonine Issue from Trapezopolis ★

Bareheaded, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: ΔΙΑ M ΚΑΡΜΙΝΙΟV ΚΛΑVΔΙΑΝΟV / ΤΡΑΠЄΖΟΠΟΛЄITΩN.
Zeus standing left, holding eagle and sceptre; to left, uncertain figure standing right; to right, Athena standing facing, head left, holding shield.

Though not entirely clear based upon the obverse, this issue would seem to be a caesar issue of the Antonine period. Given that the magistrate is known for coinage from Attuda, and there were homonoia issues between Attuda and Trapezopolis, it isn't all that unsurprising that this magistrate has signed a coin of the latter. In any event, it is apparently unpublished and extremely rare.
