Alexander-style coinage from Ephesos was not at all widely produced and is seldom seen. Adding to this intrigue is the use of a palm frond rather than the usual stylis. This is paralleled at Miletos, which may indicate military preparations there rather than the typical naval activities. Extremely rare.
