ZENO (Second reign, 476-491). GOLD Solidus. Constantinople.

Obv: D N ZENO PERP AVG.
Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield decorated with horseman motif; diadem without jewel.
Rev: VICTORIA AVGGT Δ / CONOB.
Victory standing left, holding jeweled cross; star to right.

RIC 911 & 930 var. (rev. legend); Depeyrot 108/1 var. (same).

The final G in the reverse legend appears to have been engraved as a T.

Condition: Near Mint State, lustrous.

Weight: 4.5 g.
Diameter: 21 mm.
