GORDIAN III (Caesar, 238). Limes Denarius. Imitating Rome.
Obv: M ANT GORDIANVS CAES.
Bareheaded, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: PIETAS AVGG.
Emblems of the pontificate: lituus, secespita, guttus, simpulum and aspergillum.
Cf. RIC 1 (for prototype).
Condition: Good very fine.
Weight: 2.70 g.
Diameter: 20 mm.
