Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: ΠЄΙΩΝ / ЄΦЄСΙΩΝ.
River god Peion reclining left, holding statue of Artemis Ephesia and cornucopia; distyle temple and tree to left; in background above, tower and boar pierced by spear advancing right (allusing to the foundation myth of Ephesus).

Numismatik Naumann 39, lot 589; Gitbud & Naumann 7, lot 237 (which realized a hammer of €2,400) = Asia Minor Coins online #11620; cf. Numismatik Naumann 58, lot 276 (for a similar reverse of Severus Alexander).
