RUSSIA. Time of Nicholas I (1825-1855). Silver Medal (circa 1835). St. Petersburg. Prize for the Male Gymnasia.

Obv: ПРЕУСПЕВАЮЩЕМУ.
Minerva standing slightly left, holding oil lamp and wreath; owl, globe and scrolls at feet.
Rev: Crowned imperial double eagle, holding cruciform sceptre and orb, and with crown above and coat-of-arms on breast.

Includes original box of issue. Highly attractive.

Condition: Mint State, prooflike surfaces, with a few scattered marks.
