KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Tetradrachm. Uncertain mint, possibly Side.

Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin.
Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ.
Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: ΦΙ in left field, ΛΣ below throne.

Price 2960; HGC 3.1, 943b (Alexander IV).

Condition: Near extremely fine.

Weight: 17.22 g.
