OCTAVIAN. Denarius (30-29 BC). Uncertain Italian mint, possibly Rome.

Obv: IMP.
Helmeted head of Mars right.
Rev: CAESAR around upper rim of circular shield, the central boss ornamented with a star, over crossed sword and spear.

RIC² 274; CRI 428.

Condition: Very fine, banker's mark on the obverse.

Weight: 3.52 g.
Diameter: 19 mm.
