★ Extremely Rare Issue of Maximinus from Ephesus ★

IONIA. Ephesus. Maximinus I Thrax (235-238). Ae.

Obv: AYT K Γ IOY OYHPOC MAΞIMЄINOC.
Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: TPIC NEΩKOPΩN / EΦECIΩN.
Hexastyle temple, with pellet in pediment and containing facing statue of Artemis Ephesia, with supports and between star and crescent.

Cf. RPC VI online 5040 (for a similar rev. type of Maximus); cf. Karwiese 839 (same).

Extremely rare, and apparently unpublished for Maximinus I.

Condition: Near very fine.

Diameter: 37 mm.
