Description

KINGS OF THRACE (Macedonian). Lysimachos (305-281 BC). Tetradrachm. Uncertain mint, possibly Lampsakos.

Obv: Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, wearing horn of Ammon.
Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ.
Athena seated left on throne, holding Nike and spear over shoulder. Control: Monogram to inner left.

Thompson -; cf. Müller 311 (as Uncertain Thracian mint); cf. Numismatik Naumann 40, lot 43 (with monogram also in exergue).

Condition: Good very fine, some marks on the obverse.
