Description

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Drachm. Lampsakos.

Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin.
Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ.
Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: Monogram in left field and in exergue.

Cf. Price 1362; HGC 3.1, 944a (Alexander IV).

Condition: Good very fine.

Weight: 4.27 g.
Diameter: 16 mm.
