EYΦ/ API-ΣTΩN Naked horseman to left, wearing crested helmet and holding the reins with his left hand and an ornamented shield with his keft. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ /ZΩΠ Phalanthos, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding hippocamp in his right hand and trident in his left. HN III 1044. SNG ANS 1238 ( same obverse die ). Vlasto 928 ( same dies ). Lightly toned; a rare variety. Very minor die break on the obverse, and slightly off-center, otherwise, good very fine.
