Description

MACEDON. Skione. Circa 480-450 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 12x9 mm, 2.17 g, 6 h). Bare head of Protesilaos to right. Rev. ϟ - ΚΙ Eye (from a galley prow); diagonally placed within an incuse square. Pozzi 74 ( same dies ). SNG ANS 708. Very attractively toned, well-struck and in remarkably fine condition for this type; very rare, thus. Extremely fine.
