Description

SICILY. Kamarina. Circa 415-405 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.54 g, 12 h). Athena, helmeted and wearing long robes, driving quadriga galloping to left; above, Nike flying right to crown Athena; below, in exergue, [heron flying to left]. Rev. ΚΑΜΑ[ΡΙΝΑ]-ΙΟΝ Bearded head of Herakles to left, wearing lion's skin headdress. Westermark & Jenkins 142.43 ( this coin ). SNG ANS. Toned and clear. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
