LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.56 g, 7 h), from the "Θ" group. Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with griffin; behind, Θ. Rev. YEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; above, Φ; below, Θ. HN III 1287. Williams. 290. Attractive, clear and struck on a broad flan. About extremely fine.
