A remarkably attractive, rare and beautifully toned example. Very minor flan crack and, on the reverse, old ink number 15, otherwise , about extremely fine. From the collection of Archer Huntington, 1001.57.5927. In 1672, during the Third Anglo-Dutch War (1672-1674), Deventer was besieged and conquered by the aggressive Prince Bishop of Münster, Christoph Bernhard von Galen.
