Description

CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 315-302 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.82 g, 3 h), Epa.. and Ari.. magistrates. E-Π-Α / API Nude warrior, on horseback right, holding shield and two spears, and thrusting third spear downwards. Rev. TA-PAΣ Phalanthos riding dolphin left, holding kantharos and rudder; above kantharos, KΛ. Fischer-Bossert 931 (V361/R723). HN III 939. Vlasto 634. Struck on a broad flan. Graffito on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
