KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.24 g, 8 h), Myriandos, 325-323. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ Zeus seated left on high-backed throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in field to left, ankh monogram; below throne, monogram of ΜΙ. Price 3221. Well-struck, well-centered and toned. Extremely fine.
