KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 20 mm, 4.99 g, 1 h), fifth series, Tigranokerta, year 7 = 70/69 - 69/68 BC. Diademed head of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed Armenian tiara decorated with a comet. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ TIΓPANOY Nike advancing to left, holding wreath with her extended right hand; to outer field, Z in the form of Σ. ACV -. CAA -. Kovacs 145. Rare; brown patina. Some roughness usual for the series, otherwise, good very fine.
