LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 515-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 26 mm, 7.99 g, 12 h). ΜΕΤΑΠ Seven-grained barley ear; border of dots. Rev. Seven-grained barley ear incuse; rayed border. HN III 1481. Noe 139 = SNG ANS 218 (same dies). A splendid, sharply struck and beautifully toned example, very rare thus. Good extremely fine.
