Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; to left, monogram of ΦΥ; below throne, monogram of ΠYT. Price 568. A very attractive and rare later issue with a particularly artistic, bold, and stylish portrait of Herakles bearing the features of Alexander the Great. Very fine.
