Nero, 54-68. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 36 mm, 23.38 g, 6 h), Lugdunum, c. 66. IMP NERO CAESAR AVG PONT MAX TR POT P P Laureate head of Nero to left, with globe at the point of truncation. Rev. ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES / SC On the left, Annona standing to right, holding cornucopia with her left hand and resting her right on her hip, facing, on the right, Ceres seated left, holding grain ears with her extended right hand and torch with her left; modius on garlanded altar between them, ship's stern in background. BMC -. BN 133. Cohen 22. Lyon 184. RIC 495. WCN 445. With a very attractive dark green patina and an elegant portrait. With some minor edge breaks, very minor smoothing and some earthen deposits, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
