Description

Thrace. Maroneia. Circa 386/5-348/7 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 11.23 g, 3 h). ΜΑΡΩ Bridled horse springing to left, with trailing rein. Rev. ΕΠΙ - ΙΚΕΣΙΟ Grape vine with four bunches of grapes; to left, kerykeion; all within shallow incuse square. BMC 25. Schönert-Geiss 425. SNG Lockett 1200. West 92. Fresh, attractive and lightly toned. Extremely fine.
