Bruttium. Kroton. Circa 480 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 7.64 g, 12 h). (koppa)ΡΟ Tripod with three ring handles and legs ending in lion's paws; cable border. Rev. Eagle flying right, with spread wings (incuse); rayed border. HN III 2108. Kraay & Hirmer 265 var. SNG ANS 288 var. Traité 2167, pl. LXX, 8. Attractively toned. Surfaces slightly rough, otherwise, extremely fine.
