Constantius II, 337-361. Solidus (Gold, 20mm, 4.50 g 5), Antioch, 355-361. FL IVL CONSTANTIVS PERP AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantiius II facing, his head turned slightly to the right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield over his left shoulder. Rev. GLORIA REI-PVBLICAE / SMANΓ Roma, helmeted, seated facing on left, and Constantinopolis, turreted, seated to left on the right, holding between them a shield inscribed VOT/XXX/MVLT/XXXX. Depeyrot 10/1. RIC 165. A bright, sharp example. Extremely fine.
