Description

Augustus, with Agrippa, 27 BC-AD 14. As (Copper, 24mm, 13.12 g 6), Nemausus, c. 10 BC-AD 10. IMP / DIVI F Head of Agrippa to left, wearing combined rostral crown and laurel wreath, and of Augustus to right, wearing oak wreath, back to back. Rev. COL NEM Crocodile to right, chained to a palm tree that stands behind it, its top bent to the right and tied with a filleted wreath. AMC 425. Cohen 10. RIC 158. RPC 524. With an attractive dark and glossy greenish black patina. Usual adjustment marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
