Mark Antony and Octavian, 41 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17mm, 3.67 g 11), mint moving with Antony, under the moneyer M. Barbatius. M.ANT.IMP.AVG.III.VIR. R.P.C.M.BARBAT.Q.P Bare head of M. Antony to right. Rev. CAESAR.IMP.PONT.III.VIR.R.P.C. Bare head of Octavian to right. Babelon (Antonia) 51, (Barbatia) 2. Crawford 517/2. CRI 243. Sydenham 1181. Very attractively toned and with fine portraits. Old scratch on the obverse, and with a slightly tight flan, otherwise, extremely fine.
