Description

KINGS of MACEDON, Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 17mm, 8.57 g 1), Miletos, circa 323-319. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent. Rev. AΛEΞANΔΡOΥ Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; to left, monogram of ΚΗ; to lower right, double-ax. Price 2114. Clear and with a delicate obverse. Some edge marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
