Description

EASTERN EUROPE, Carpathian region - Northern Hungary. 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22mm, 13.29 g 6), The ‘Audoleon Type, triskeles variety’. Laureate and bearded head of Zeus to right. Rev. Horseman riding to right; to left, pseudo-legend; below horse’s foreleg to right, Π; below horse, triskeles. CCCBM I 121. OTA 434. A lovely toned example. Extremely fine.
