Description

EASTERN EUROPE, Carpathian region - Northern Hungary. Late 3rd-2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22mm, 13.31 g 9), The ‘Dreizack and Triskeles’ type. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized warrior riding to right; around, garbled inscription; behind, trident; between horse’s front legs, triskeles. CCCBM I, 118. OTA 415. Attractively toned. Nearly extremely fine.
