Claudius, 41-54. Denarius (Silver, 18mm, 3.75 g 12), Rome, 50-51. TI CLAVD CAESAR AVG P M TR P X P P IMP XVIII Laureate head of Claudius to right. Rev. S P Q R / P P / OB C S in three lines within oak wreath. B&S 350 (this coin). BMC -. Cohen 94. RIC 60. Von Kaenel 845 (this coin). Nicely toned. Some very minor marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the Stoecklin Collection, bought from Hess AG in Luzern, and from the collection of the Marquis de Sartiges, Ars Classica XVIII, 10 October 1938, 87, and illustrated in the de Sartiges private catalogue of 1910 as number 62.
