Description

P. Crepusius, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17mm, 4.00 g 12), Rome. Laureate head of Apollo to right, with scepter on far shoulder; below chin, lizard; behind, D. Rev. CCXXXIII / P.CREPVSI Horseman galloping to right, raising spear in his right hand. Babelon (Crepusia) 1. Crawford 361/1c. Sydenham 738a. Lustrous and attractive, but with some minor die faults in the reverse fields. Extremely fine.
