Description

L. Appuleius Saturninus, 104 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18mm, 3.88 g 7), Rome. Helmeted head of Roma to left. Rev. Saturn in quadriga to right, holding the reins in his left hand and a harpa in his right; above, pellet and E (sideways); in exergue, L SATVRN. Babelon (Appuleia) 1. Crawford 317/3a. Sydenham 578. Beautifully toned and sharply struck. Extremely fine.
