Description

MYSIA, Kyzikos. 2nd-1st century BC. 4 units (?) (Bronze, 29mm, 10.82 g 12). Laureate head of Kore to right. Rev. ΚΥΖΙ - ΚΗΝΩΝ Tripod; above, club; below, torch; in field to left, monogram of ΕΚ; in field to right, monogram of ΑΝΤΙΟΥ. BMC 167 var. SNG France 504 var. Von Fritze III 39. A lovely piece with a fine olive-brown patina and a marvelous obverse. Reverse slightly double-struck, otherwise, extremely fine.
